Jee Hyung Sohn (Puigserver Lab) has been awarded American Liver Foundation and American Diabetes Association postdoctoral fellowships.
The American Liver Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Award supports the development of promising research trainees and their basic or translational research in the liver field. Jee Hyung’s research is on the mechanisms of mitochondrial protein import linked to liver metabolism.
The American Diabetes Foundation provides these fellowship to postdoctoral researchers to provide support for high quality training in disciplines and in an environment conducive to beginning a career in diabetes research. Jee Hyung’s research is focused on investigating mitochondrial protein import pathways and their role in metabolic disease.
