Every year, researchers from across the department travel to an off-site location for a few days to share their science, meet old and new colleagues, and have some fun. Over the years, we've traveled to different locations, including Cape Cod (MA), Newport (RI), and Waterville Valley (NH). On the science side, grad students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty present their latest results and exchange ideas through short talks, flash talks, and poster sessions. On the social side, we create networking and mentoring opportunities, and we have some seasonal fun (like pumpkin carving and costume contests!)
The 2026 Cell Bio Retreat will take place at the Merck Research Laboratories on Thursday, October 15th. Breakfast and registration will run from 8-9am, with sessions following and concluding at 5pm. Plus, stick around for our reception in the Merck atrium from 5-7pm!
Additionally, please join us on Friday, October 16th for a poster session in the HMS TMEC atrium from 4:00-6:30pm. Light food and refreshments will be served.
