Congratulations to BBS student Jasmine Garcia in the Lee Lab who recently received the Ford Foundation Fellowship, as well as an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Congratulations to Felix Steinruecke, a BBS student in the Farnung Lab, who also received an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Through its program of fellowships, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.

The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. GRFP seeks to broaden participation in science and engineering of underrepresented groups, including women, minorities, persons with disabilities, and veterans.
