Spyros Artavanis-Tsakonas, Wade Harper, and Danesh Moazed were elected to the National Academy of Sciences!  This prestigious honor is in recognition of a scientist’s "distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.”  Candidates must be formally nominated by an Academy member, then discussed extensively, and finally voted upon at the Academy’s annual meeting.

With these elections, Wade, Danesh, and Spyros join four other faculty in our department as part of the NAS: Joan Brugge, Lew Cantley, Tom Rapoport, and Bruce Spiegelman.  Our recently departed Fred Goldberg was also a Member.
